Laura was born in the Rhondda. Her passion for music was clear from an early age, beginning piano lessons at age 7. Her musical talent was further nurtured at Treorchy Comprehensive School. Laura went on to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama graduating in 2007.

Laura's professional accompaniment career began as accompanist to Pontypridd Choral Society. For six and a half years from October 2006 Laura was part of  the music team of Bridgend Male Voice Choir. Laura enjoys a busy career as an accompanist  combined with her work as a music therapist. Since December 2011she has been the accompanist of Cor  Merched Cwm Llynfi. In  June 2013 she also became the permanent accompanist of Caerphilly Male Voice Choir.


Musical Director - Paul Deenik


Paul's musical journey began as a seven-year old  chorister in St. Mary's Church, Nolton,Bridgend. He later became a member of the Royal School of Church Music Cathedral Singers, attaining his Dean's Award, Bishop's Award and the prestigious St.Nicholas Award in 1995. At fourteen Paul joined the Mid Glamorgan Youth Choir. He subsequently auditioned  and was accepted  into the National Youth  Choir of  Wales. In 1996 Paul was invited to join the BBC National Chorus of Wales. In that year also he became one of the founding members  of The Black Mountain Chorus of Wales and undertook 3 tours of the USA with them.

Paul began his conducting career at age 18, when he became Musical Director of the South Wales Burma Star Choir. He remained with them for two years until he joined Cor Merched Cwm Llynfi in 2000. In February 2013, Paul took over also as Musical Director of Ynysybwl Ladies Choir and in June of that year he became Musical Director of Caerphilly Male Voice Choir.
